FULLER GRACE ANN'S MAMA SAYS:
It is just a name I put together.
I took Fuller from Ashley Olsen's middle name which was originally from her mother's middle name. I think it's excellent as a first name. It's so unique. Then I added the more traditional Grace Ann as a middle name simply because it's a good southern girl name. =]

I honestly don't know why I love the name, Jordan Bliss so much, but my daughter has given me the honor of naming my second granddaughter and this is the name I have chosen.
Jordan is just a favorite girls name for me because, although I have heard boys with this name I think it is very feminine.
I chose Bliss as a middle name because I feel I am in the most complete and awesome state of total BLISS while anxiously waiting for the arrival of my new granddaughter.
We believe that Corley would be a lovely name for a baby boy or girl. The mom who submitted the name didn't specify if the name is to be given to a daughter or a son. To our disappointment the only information that she gave in the form was that it was her grandfather's last name. We would have loved to hear more about both the ancestor as well as the baby.
It is a classic southern tradition to choose a name for a baby boy or girl from surnames of ancestors. If the name isn't suitable as a first name it's slipped onto the birth certificate as a baby's middle name. Nevermind if the first and middle name have to be back to back. Great-grandmother's or grandfather's family name will make a fabulous third or even fourth name if push comes to shove as it often does for naming practices in the south.
Notes from the webmaster:
So, what do you all think?
1.) Could Corley be used as a name for a baby boy or girl, a boy only or a girl only?
2.) Can you make some suggestions for appropriate middle names that would work with this name?
I can imagine a modern Southern Belle proudly wearing the double name, Corley Elizabeth, can't you?

Update: We got a followup from the mom who initially shared the name, Corley, with us (see comments section). She indicated that her baby girl would indeed be named Corley Elizabeth! What a scrumptious named based on family heritage.
Here's hoping that she sends us a cute baby picture to post on Corley Elizabeth's page so that we will have a pretty face to associate with the unique baby girl's name.

Ahna, is a variation of the more traditional girl's name of Anna and the meaning is a wise one that is strong.
The name, Jessebella is a variation of Jezebel, and when it first popped into my mind I just loved it.
From the Webmaster:
I have always thought it was a shame to reject a beautiful name like Jezebel for Biblical reasons. Your idea worked around the problem while keeping the basics intact. I like your spelling but it could be used as a double name, too! Kudos on being so creative!

Rose was the perfect girl's middle name to use with my unusual spelling of Shiloh as it was my grandmother's name and and provided a classic sound to the double name.

I decided on this uncommon name for my daughter because of her unique angelic eyes and because Yazmina is such a beautiful girl's name.

Jazz-Morgan, is a unique, contemporary baby girl's name. The mom who shared this name with us said that she chose it because she had always wanted to be called by the name, Jazz, herself and that she adored the name, Morgan.
So what better idea is there than to combine the two? And what a cool combination this is. In years past, Morgan, might have been restricted for use only in circumstances where it was a name in the mother or father's family tree.
WHEN DID IT BECOME POPULAR?
There was a large increase in the numbers of babies named Morgan in the 1980s that coincided with increasing roles of the female celebrity, Morgan Fairchild and the male movie star, Morgan Freeman. Since this time, Morgan has been a widely used, contemporary baby girl's name and often used no matter whether it's a family name or not. While Morgan is also a popular name for baby boys, it doesn't compare to number of times that a newborn girl is named Morgan.
WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME MORGAN?
The name is of Old English and Welsh origin and means "great brightness, circling sea or bright, white sea dweller". Then there are the medival Irish forms of the name, Morgaine or Morgayne.
FAMOUS PEOPLE NAMED MORGAN
Morgan Freeman and Morgan Fairchild are probably the most recent celebrities bearing the name, but
equally as famous is King Arthur's sister, Morgan le Fay.

Rejeana submitted the unique baby girl name, Abryella, for inclusion to our list of names for baby girls.
She says the name is a favorite just because it sounds so delicate and sophisticated and I agree with her. Somehow I can picture her in a fairy theme nursery with lacy curtains and pastel water color artwork on the walls.
If you really listen to how the sounds play off one another in the pronunciation you can almost see a beautiful baby girl's long, graceful lashes resting on her cheeks.
I can especially appreciate this name as the submitter's name is every bit as interesting and lovely as the unique baby girl name that she shared with us.
Maybe Rejeana will write back and share the details of her own name and where she found the name, Abryella, as well.
I came up with the name, Gabrian - a baby girl's name by combining my sisters names. They both have beautiful, classic girl's names so I thought a combination would be even better even if the resulting name was just a bit unusual.
One of the reasons I wanted to badly to do this was because I recently lost both of them and wanted to honor their memory in this way.
One of my sisters was named Gabrielle Anastacia and the other one's first name was Ryan. I just went to work adding and subtracting syllables until something sounded pleasing and when I landed on Gabrian, I knew that was the baby's name that I wanted.
