Rustic Teddy Bear Baby Nursery Theme
Before I give you the details of our baby's rustic teddy bear nursery theme, I should give you some details about the layout of our home.

Our little family lives in a one bedroom house. The upstairs consists of a large open plan area and our bedroom is located directly off this open area. Unfortunately this is not our house so building walls and changing the floorplan is not an option.
My husband and I decided to try our hand at a DIY project and build (ourselves) a large life like princess tray as a divider to shape our
teddy bear nursery this large open plan area. Our intention was to make the space cozier for our little one.
We built it surrounding a small old-fashioned cupboard with the end results being almost a wall unit. Once that was in place we made the decision to go for a rustic teddy bear nursery theme.
Arranged in all the open spaces we will place teddy bears of all different shapes and sizes. A limited brown and cream nursery color scheme would be boring on its own so as an accent color I have included a dusty blue in the room.
I have made my own decorative nursery accessories like the towel hook and wall hangings above the changing table. My next project for the baby room is to make my own musical baby mobile. My idea is to buy one and replace the hanging items with little teddy bears that I have chosen especially for this project.
In between the little bears I will hang fluffy blue balls at different lengths to one another that will closely match the wall decorations above the changing mat.
I can't seem to find the perfect
teddy bear baby bedding set so my mother and I will be going to a fabric shop to see if I can find what I am looking for and will make my own crib set to tie into our rustic teddy bear nursery theme.
The wall space in the baby's room is limited so not much in the way of wall decorating will be needed. So, above the crib I will hang a large, framed teddy bear picture.
On the wall space between the curtains I will have blue, painted wooden letters spelling out OLIVER which is our baby boy's name.
In addition to the necessary nursery furniture, I have included a cream color double couch with blue cushions that will be used for late night breastfeedings and there enough room for my husband if he wants to keep me company.
Our baby boy is due on December 28th and I have had so much fun planning our baby's rustic teddy bear nursery theme and making things myself as I come across
baby nursery ideas that I like because it feels more personal.
The baby's nursery room is not completed so the photos show only what we have done so far. I have more photos to share of the decorations that I have made myself but I see there is only space for one picture of my teddy bear nursery ideas.
