Kalina and Mommy

I painted the rowan tree nursery wall mural because the meaning of my baby girl's name, Kalina, is Rowan tree. The painting includes a large Rowan tree with its roots leading to different things, towards the ocean and towards land.

Since Rowan trees are used to make magic wands and other mystical items, I included creatures of fantasy like mermaids, fairies and dragons in the painting.

NURSERY WALL DECORATIONS

I made pillows that are are attached to the walls using Velcro (so she can move them) and hung stars that I made, clouds (with raindrops) and a sun from the ceiling so she can watch them move.

The paint that I used to paint the tree wall mural is a special blacklight paint that is designed to glow in the dark so the WHOLE room glows at night!

I am currently in the process of making the tree's branches three-dimensional So that I can hang birds from the branches.

Rating Tree Mural by: Anonymous The painting in the pictures looks more like an underwater mural than a tree mural of any kind. It's very nice and colorful but I would like to see more of the Rowan tree portion of the painting that was mentioned.
