Roman's angel nursery theme has a very special meaning to me and my husband after trying for 4 years to have a baby. Let it suffice to say that we spent 4 years dreaming and planning this special room for our baby!
Finally, we became pregnant with boy/girl twins. However, 24 weeks into the pregnancy we got the devastating news at our sonogram appointment that our little girl, Kaiya's, heart had stopped beating.
I went on to carry both babies, Kaiya and Roman, until I was 30 weeks pregnant at which time Kaiya's sac ruptured. My husband and I were able to hold our "Angel" baby and she was so very beautiful.

Our baby boy, Roman, was born on September 9th and weighed only 3 pounds but he was very strong and healthy.
Romans 9:9 reads: "For this is how the promise was stated. When I return Sarah shall have a Son". I know that everything that has happened was all part of God's Perfect Plan for us. You can read the entire story at hisplannotmine.blogspot.com.
It is truly our belief that Kaiya and Roman will always have a strong spiritual bond and that Kaiya is Roman's "Angel watching over him".
After repainting the nursery from pink and blue to all blue, we decided to leave artwork of his sister up and leave pink in the clouds so we can think of her daily and let it be a reminder that she is Our Angel Watching Over Us!
An artist helped paint the clouds on the ceiling and our whole family helped and contributed their own special touches to our baby boy's
angel nursery theme.
The painted clouds on the nursery ceiling look so real, you feel like your outside when inside the nursery!
The flooring is black wood that matches the color scheme of blue, black, and white. We had the "angel baby bedding" custom made from fabric that complements the color scheme of the nursery.
Painting harlequin diamonds on the wall of the baby's room to add depth and dimension to the decor.
My mother-in-law made the nursery curtains with the same fabric that was used to make the baby bedding.
We installed a dimmer switch so we can adjust the level of light provided by the 5 arm black chandelier that we love. We were delighted to find a matching chandelier night light!
We had an artist paint Roman's inspirational birth scripture, Romans 9:9, around my maternity picture that was taken when I was 12 weeks pregnant with the twins.
The closet has been designed to look more like the interior of an exclusive boutique. To accomplish the look, we removed the door, hung a chandelier, added a decorative cornice and TADA!; the results exceeded our expectations! Our angel nursery theme is truly a special haven for me. Walking into it gives me a feeling of peace and tranquility and I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
