Red Plaid Christmas Dress
by Chrissy
I couldn't find a baby girl's red plaid Christmas dress that I liked..well, at least one that I liked that was cheap enough to suit me. The other poster had a point that if you get the right kind of Christmas outfit, it can be worn for a longer period of time and you get more for your money but, I want a special dress for my little girl that is just for the holidays.

My answer to this problem is that I got a pattern and made my own dress. I didn't do anything fancy, no ruffles, embroidery or smocking, just a simple jumper style dress that I plan to dress up with black patent leather mary jane shoes, some pretty tights, a Christmas hair bow and a long sleeved onesie underneath.
It may not be smocked or monogrammed but my baby girl's homemade
red plaid Christmas dress is just as cute as anything I saw in the baby boutiques at a much more affordable price.
