Pink and White Butterfly Baby Shower for a Baby Girl

Pink and white tissue paper pom poms and party banner for a baby girl butterfly theme shower
Missy over at the Little Green Bean blog had some amazing pictures of a pink and white butterfly baby shower for a baby girl that I wanted everyone to see! I'm in love with banners, pom poms made of tissue paper and accordion lanterns right now so her decorations fell in line with my current obsession!
Like so many of us, Missy has been pinning away on Pinterest and it really paid off in planning a shower for her sister-in-law who is expecting a baby girl next month. Since Missy has boys, the idea of decorating a baby shower for a baby girl sounded like lots of fun!
Butterfly Baby ShowerThe tissue paper pom poms in varying shades from hot pink to pastel pink and white are just a few of the Pinterest inspired crafts that Missy has made.
This girly tricycle diaper cake has ribbons and bows in colors reflecting Missy's baby shower ideas and I'm sure that mom appreciates the 50 disposable diapers in the trike's wheels!
While she was pinning party decorations and picking up ideas for girl baby shower themes, she came across a sweet, berry punch recipe in a pretty shade of pink.
A pink satin ribbon tied in a bow decorates the glass jar holding the punch that's ready to mix and serve.
Now for the part, I like best! Dessert!
The fondant butterflies are not only homemade but delicious and edible! Missy made the fondant butterflies with the help of a friend. They were so easy and fun to make that they actually made more than they needed and had some left over.
But never fear; she found an excellent use for them. The fondant butterflies left over from the baby shower were used to decorate purple cupcakes for a special little girl's birthday!
These cupcakes have royal purple frosting, edible pearls and cute tags in party hat shapes and scalloped party circles made using her Stampin Up computer software, Cricut, punches and wooden toothpicks.
I get the feeling that Missy is just getting started in putting her own unique spin on her many Pinterest finds. I'm sure that you will want to pop over to her blog
