My mother made the princess crib canopy compete with tiara.
Letters over the nursery closet spell our little princess' name
Since I was a child I have dreamed that my baby girl's nursery would be a pink and white room decorated for a princess with feminine decor that was soft and romantic. I wanted my little princess' first room to be a place of peace and beauty where we could enjoy her first years.
I dreamed of a room with a timeless Victorian feel and a soft color scheme that included shades of soft pink, ivory and sage green.
I feel that I achieved my decorating goals by carefully planning each step and taking a balanced approach towards the distribution of focal points throughout the space.
The focal point and my favorite feature of room is the elegant chandelier with soft pink crystals.
Our baby girl's bedding is very girly with satin, bows and floral accents.
The color of the crib is called vanilla and it has so many beautiful details including the elegantly turned wooden spindles. It's a convertible so our little girl will get to enjoy it for a long time.
The crib canopy was actually handmade by my mother, complete with a princess tiara on top! It fits perfectly with our royal baby theme but would look equally as nice in a vintage nursery, a shabby chic nursery, or a nursery decorated with roses.
I added coordinating floating wall shelves that display a framed photo of my little princess along with other decorative accents and girly trinkets.
The nursery window treatments add another touch of sage green in addition to the painted shelves, the changing pad cover and the tablecloth located nearby. The soft shade of green balances the white and pink nursery paint color and ties into the rug we chose for the area in front of the crib.
On the nursery wall there is a sage green tree decal on the nursery wall surrounded by pink butterflies next to the wooden hutch that gives the space a whimsical touch. Eventually, I will display her dollhouse or a child's table and chair set underneath it.
Our baby room is a mom's dream come true. I am very pleased with how our pink and white baby nursery decorated for our princess turned out and hope that
