My Baby Girl's Pink and Green Nursery Decor with Polka Dots, Plaid and more
When I started to upload my little princess' pink and green nursery pictures, I had to wonder how her room turned out like this because I had no idea where or how to begin decorating it. Her due date was getting close and I had to decide what to do in a hurry so I never thought it would turn out so well.

The green and
pink nursery decor is centered around the rocking chair that I picked out at a fabric store. I liked it so much that my mom got it for me as a gift. All of the fabric that I chose for the room was coordinated with the chair from the
wooden letters for the nursery wall and plaid fabric on the custom made accent pillows to the ruffled window valance.
The rooms in our house are quite small, so we decided to convert two rooms into one spacious nursery suite.
My dad put up the wooden beadboard and chair rail. You can't see it in the
pink and green nursery pictures above, but after the molding and beadboard was installed I noticed that there was a rough edge that was exposed where the chair rail and beadboard met. To fix this problem, I decided to cover a piece of wood with the same fabric that I used for the crib skirt and nail it under the chair rail to cover the rough edge. It looks very nice and covered the rough edge really well.
I wanted to install a chandelier for lighting, but my husband wanted a ceiling fan to keep the air flowing throughout the house. I found a very attractive fan with a light kit that was the perfect compromise.
