The pink and black princess nursery ideas for this project were the result of the many hours that my wife and I spent poring over pictures and mulling over ideas. We were especially careful in our consideration of baby nursery themes, colors and our favorite design.

We looked at more pictures of baby girl nurseries than you can ever dream possible, compared costs and decided on crib bedding and the rest of the design actually took on a life of its own and became easier as we went; detail plans help a lot!

In addition to the princess theme, my wife was also very enthusiastic about incorporating animal print into the decor and as you can see, we chose zebra.

Getting Started

We removed everything out the home office space that was to become our baby girl's room.

Taking Things Step by Step

Once we had a clean slate to work with, the first step we made was to paint the room from top to bottom. After the walls were fresh and clean and painted in a beautiful shade of pink we:

  • installed the nursery lighting including the elegant crystal chandelier
  • built and arranged the furniture
  • began hanging the wall decorations
