Max's Modern Navy, Baby Blue, Green and White Nursery with Giraffe Decorations and Wall Art
How do we know Max loves his navy, baby blue, green and white nursery? As all parents know, it's not always easy to know what an infant might be thinking but this little fellow's mom, Megan, says that when she's hanging out with her little one in their glider, Max loves to look around at his room. And I believe that you will enjoy taking a peek at this cute baby boy nursery, too!
Max's nursery is adorable and his closet is really nice, too! It took me quite awhile to realize that the best way to keep a room (especially a baby's room) looking good is to follow the old saying, "a place for everything and everything in its place". A beautifully designed, color coordinated nursery closet with shelves and bins is key to keeping all of the supplies and clothes close at hand yet out of sight.
Clutter not only works against all of the efforts invested into decorating a nursery; it makes cleaning the space much more difficult. And who would want to spend their time cleaning when they could be enjoying their newborn? Not me!
Before Megan began decorating Max's nursery, she researched and pinned her favorite nursery pictures on her Pinterest board for inspiration.
After choosing what she liked best from her collection of photos, the finished project included a very attractive mix of decorations from many different sources including Etsy as well as some handmade items.
This modern art print featuring a navy blue and white chevron design and a lime green giraffe that Megan chose to decorate the wall above the baby's changing table came from ZeppiPrints on Etsy. The four separate sections of the print were framed using inexpensive, black picture frames from Target that were painted white.
Megan found a
baby bedding set on Carousel Designs that fell right in line with Mom's vision for the room. She loved the sets' modern look and the colorful, fun polka dots of the fabric but did
not love the expensive price tag.
Then she found Isla Corrine, an Etsy seller that designs crib bedding for a fraction of the cost! Isla ordered the fabric directly from Carousel Designs, made the crib set and the results were well worth waiting for. Max's grandmother made the nursery curtains and an accent pillow from extra fabric that was ordered from Carousel. These touches give the room a custom look. Aren't grandmothers ... grand?
A framed baby shower invitation that features the guests' autographs was framed in a shadow box that makes a precious wall decoration and serves as a reminder to Max how much his family and friends from Boston love him!
Being surrounding with personalized items and mementos like this give a child a sense of belonging. Plus, they are just cute.
I know that after seeing these beautiful
baby boy nursery pictures that you love Max's navy, baby blue, green and white nursery as much as he does! You can jump over to his mom's blog,
