I just saw some precious invitation wording for a book baby shower. I was planning a WISE OWL baby shower theme because I just couldn't come up with many cute decorations for a book theme so the theme of the party is a combination book and owl baby shower.
Because I have some enough card stock and card making supplies on hand and I don't have the budget for personalized invitations, I am making the owl baby shower invitations myself and wanted to write a short poem asking the guests to bring books to help build the nursery library as baby gifts.
Here's the invitation wording for a book baby shower that I'm playing around with:
Baby toys are nice, they're enjoyed once or twice
While a book will be treasured forever and ever
So instead of a toy to be put aside
Please bring the baby a book with your name and a note written inside
The book doesn't have to be expensive
It doesn't even have to be new
Any old book in good shape will do
My question is whether or not I need to write a short sentence above the poem in case the recipient of the invitation doesn't take the time to read the poem.
Also, if you have any owl or book theme baby shower ideas to share I would really like to hear from you!
