Oscar and Big Bird Baby Nursery Wall Mural Painting Stickers Decals
I learned very quickly that decorating a Sesame Street nursery was not as easy as I thought it would be. I got the bright idea of working with this theme and I thought it would be a piece of cake with all the Sesame Street merchandise and decor that would be available for us to use as decorations.
Plus, we wanted to decorate the nursery with Sesame Street characters and items that took us back to a happy and memorable time when we were kids which I still think was a great idea but but putting it all together was a bit of a challenge for someone like me who avoids decorating whenever possible.

We decided that it would be best to begin working from the outermost areas of the room and work our way into the center. The first step in painting the wall mural was to paint the upper half of the wall blue for the sky and the lower portion green for the grass.
When we got ready to paint the characters, Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird, we made it easy on ourselves by borrowing a projector from a friend that helped us to trace the outlines of the characters very quickly. When we were done drawing, I bought the paint and brushes and went to work on the main feature in our Sesame Street nursery.
Even though when I started out, I didn't have a clue on how to design a Sesame Street nursery for our baby I think it turned out very well and it really wasn't such a difficult task, just time consuming to get all the details of the characters painted.
The finished product told me that it was all worth it. I can tell that our baby boy loves all the bright colors because when he wakes up in the morning he wakes up with big smile. That is worth more to me than anything else in the world!
