Gender Neutral Bamboo Tree Baby Nursery... for my boy

I am so thankful that my gender neutral bamboo tree baby nursery project is complete and waiting for my son, Sebastian, that is due in the next couple of weeks to arrive.
There were many decorative decisions to make in addition to arranging the furniture according to the rules of Feng shui.
For those not familiar with Feng Shui, it is a complex system that is said to bring balance and harmony to the energies of the nursery and good fortune to the baby inhabiting it.

We decided that black nursery furniture was the best choice for us because the design of the collection would create a room that was both modern and gender neutral.
My first desire for the style of the nursery was to incorporate Paul Frank without decorating the entire nursery in one specific theme.
I had my mother-in-law sew the crib skirt from Paul Frank fabric and also make a baby pillow as an accent piece. As the fabric has a white background with a pattern including a brown Paul Frank monkey and red accents, I needed to do the rest of the nursery in colors that would coordinate.
I spent a lot of time looking at nursery picture galleries online to get detail and organization ideas. Then, one day my sister and I went out shopping and she tried on this really cute dress that was a sort of a mustard/chartreuse color with a bamboo pattern on it.
I loved it and thought that it would make a lovely theme. From that point forward I began to focus on a design based on the bamboo print of the fabric. Since the bamboo trees tied in so well with monkeys (but not in a tacky, totally themed sort of way) the decor just fit.
The fabric in that dress is how the nursery walls came to have mustard yellow color paint with a hint of green (painted by my best friend since I could not paint anything) and my mother-in-law painted the black bamboo tree wall mural.
I also love Sock Monkey, so we added a few sock monkeys to the crib decor and hung a monkey cut-out mobile above the bed (that I bought from Babies R Us).
The best part about our
baby boy's nursery is that it can be used again for the next baby when he or she arrives.
I hope that
