We planned the design of Emma's Noahs Ark and jungle nursery theme by carefully drawing and sketching our ideas out in a notebook. Our goal for decorating our baby girl's nursery was to include animals, beach scenes with a tropical, jungle vibe to keep the decor gender neutral just in case we have a baby boy next time around.
I then scanned and projected the final drawing on different areas of the nursery walls to get a general idea of space, composition and the best location for the artwork. The color palette used to paint the mural was vibrant and fun.
First, we painted the sky and water and let the paint dry. Then I painted one color at a time using flat tones. The second coat of paint was more detailed and included varying shades of color to give the scenes a 3-Dimensional look.

We chose to design the room with both a
jungle theme in combination with a
Noahs Ark theme with animals were exploring their new surroundings and gathering around the baby's bed.
As you will see in the examples above, there is a bird resting on the top of the crib, two bunnies hiding to the side as well as a monkey watching over the baby when she is sleeping in the crib
We are so thankful our baby girl has such a great space to grow up in, and can't wait until she can identify the colors, shapes, and animals!
