I need a couple of drop rail crib brackets like the one that you see in the picture above. I would prefer the crib parts to be brown in color if at all possible.

I have found one place that sells the brackets but unfortunately they are currently out of stock and I cannot find anywhere else either off or online that sells them.

Manufacturers are recalling their cribs in cooperation with the CPSC because drop side cribs have been determined to be dangerous.

Most traditional drop-side cribs do not meet new crib safety standards (as of June 28, 2011), and cribs with traditional drop-sides are currently not being sold.

It's impossible to tell by looking at a crib whether it meets the new standards so don't think just because your crib appears to be sturdy that it is safe; drop side cribs are not safe to use.

What you CAN do is check to see if your crib's manufacturer will send you immobilizers to fix your crib. Experts say to replace any drop side crib with one that meets current safety guidelines but some people have gone against their advice and used immobilization kits.

The immobilizers are used to "immobilize" the cot's drop sides.
