DRAGONFLY and FROG NURSERY

Dragonflies and Frogs Green and Yellow Baby Nursery Theme Picture
The dragonfly and frog nursery that we decorated for our baby boy, Noah, not only has dragonflies but also snails and baby turtles. Nature is the focus of his room. I don't want everybody to get the idea that we have an unusual fondness of bugs. It's just that we wanted to decorate the space with creatures that we see when we go fishing at the pond on our farm.
My husband and I made so many memories at this special place together when we were dating and we will make more memories there as a family when our son is born.
Given the natural colors of the insects and frogs we quickly settled on a cheerful green and yellow baby bedding set that has a big assortment of other stuff that you might associate with our pond and the adventures that a little boy might have there.

The Baby's Crib Quilt
Scattered throughout the crib quilt, mobile and bumper there are lots of frogs, snails as well as cattails and butterflies added to the
dragonfly nursery theme.
Every time that I think of that happy, green toad sitting on the plaid, appliquéd lily pad it puts a big smile on my face. Green and yellow are happy colors that call for happy characters. Snails with brightly colored shells, smiling frogs and butterflies made short work of our frog nursery casting call.
The frog crib mobile is a little boy’s delight. It’s decorated with plush baby turtles and toads; two critters that every little boy loves. They will be within easy sight of Noah until he is old enough to leave his beautifully decorated dragonfly and frog nursery to venture out on his own and fill his pockets with pets to bring home and put in a glass terrarium or jelly jar.
The baby bedding set is the main focal point of the frog nursery, but we have ordered and are making more homemade decorations that have yet to be added. We are still waiting on the diaper stacker, frog wall plaques, wall pegs and frog theme drawer pulls so I can relax until it’s time for the one big job that is really important: deliver the baby!
Decorating Advice
The advice that I would give to visitors of
Unique Baby Gear Ideas would be to make as much of the nursery's decorations as you can not just to save money but so that you can enjoy seeing the fruits of your labor while spending time in the nursery with your little one.
