Dr. Seuss Theme Nursery Wall Mural - Fox in Sox, Green Eggs and Ham and More!
I love bright colors and when I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to decorate my son's room in classic Dr Seuss style.
We decided to paint a nursery wall mural to reflect the Dr. Seuss baby room theme and to match the baby's bedding.

We painted green hills on the bottom part of the walls & blue sky on the top. We used a transparacy to put various images of Dr Seuss books on the wall and traced them with a pencil.
Now the fun part!
We used a black sharpie to outline the pictures and used all sorts of bright colors to bring the pictures to life. Our son loves looking at the bright pictures we painted on his wall. My favorite is Fox in Sox, which is painted above his crib. We also added, Sam I Am with his Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish Two Fish, Ten Tired Turtles and of course a Dr. Seuss baby room theme wouldn't be complete without a picture of Lorax!
It was a joy bring my son's room to life and I hope he enjoys his room for years to come. We decided to use black baby furniture in his room. His crib is black with red undertones, his changing table is black, and I painted my old dresser black and put red undertones on it also.
The custom nursery bedding on the crib and the curtains were handmade out of fabrics that include bright and vibrate colors. You can't help but feel happy in this room and I love lying on the single bed and looking at our hard work.
I only hope my son appreciates the Dr. Seuss baby room theme decor when he gets a little older.
