Crane Elephant Baby Humidifier Review

When I saw the baby blue elephant that came for the Crane Elephant Baby Humidifier Review, my first impression was that it was cute enough to be a kids’ toy. The little guy was just adorable. The next step was to find out if it’s just nice to look at or if it works as it should.
There are times when utility items that have been given a makeover so that they look more appealing completely lose their effectiveness but I’m happy to report that my
Crane Humidifier looks cool in my girls’ room AND that it is doing the job that I expected it to do. If the girls needed/wanted an elephant toy there would most likely have been a less expensive route; what I was looking for was a hard working, mist-spraying workhorse of a nursery humidifier.
CHOOSING THE HUMIDIFIER One of the girls has had serious lung problems in addition to the usual upper respiratory infections of childhood so we’ve gone through quite a few industrial style models over the years, none of which with any decorative appeal. Until I became acquainted with the Crane product line, I felt there was no better option and then when the opportunity to write a Crane Humidifier review came to me the broad range of choices was a delight but it was so hard to pick just one. I couldn’t decide whether to review the Crane penguin
humidifier with a large mouth that has already been said to work very well or the Hello Kitty that some moms gave very high ratings because the mist doesn’t just come from one opening but from both ears? I finally narrowed it down to either the cute green Crane frog humidifier or the elephant and ultimately decided to do a Crane elephant baby humidifier review.
FUN and CUTE BUT VERY EFFECTIVEWith the girls’ breathing problems, “cute” alone just would not cut it. There’s no way I would toss my favorite industrial strength humidifier just because an animal shaped piece of equipment is more attractive and since I’m experienced in the performance of cheap ones bought at our local discount store to expensive humidifiers that came highly recommended I can honestly say this little fellow works very well especially for the price. Its charming good looks are just an added bonus.
It increased the humidity in an average sized kids’ bedroom with no problems. For a large nursery or bedroom, it might be necessary to buy more than one elephant. Another suggestion I have is to put a towel down in front of the elephant’s trunk to prevent excessive moisture I had read other Crane Elephant Humidifier reviews that indicated that this style had a tendency to leak a little under the snout but at the time of this article, I have not had this problem. The weather is still very warm and humid at the moment but I believe that this machine will produce sufficient moisture to counteract the drying effects of our central heating system during the winter months.
AN EASY TO CLEAN GREEN MACHINEBy green, I mean that the machine consumes a minimal amount of power, which is very important for those of us looking to reduce energy costs and our carbon footprint. During cold and flu season the little elephant I usually have to let at least one humidifier run the clock so it is essential that it be very simple to use, easy to fill with water, easy to clean and energy efficient which this one is!
