Our baby boy's Dr Seuss nursery with bright yellow walls and red white and blue decorations
Our favorite Dr Seuss quotes and red and white wallpaper border decorate the wall above the baby's crib
The topsy turvy wall plates decorate the wall between the red curtain panels in our baby boy's Dr Seuss theme nursery.
Our baby boy's name, blue cloud shaped wall decals, Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two are the focal point of the nursery over our baby boy's changing table.
When we went to Ikea we found the perfect furniture for Bryson's baby Seuss nursery theme. They had pieces in the bright, primary colors that we needed to complete the room's design.
Our baby boy's crib, dresser and his bookcase are all a gray-ish blue color with light blue accents.
To avoid everything being overly matched, we decided to buy a white changing table and hand-painted the rocking chair white so that there would be another piece of furniture in the room that was similar.

There are many stories in this series that can be used to build a theme in your little one's room. Each has its own unique color scheme as well as a wide array of characters.
QThe design alone of Bryson's
baby Seuss nursery is a great example of do-it-yourself decorating success but I have to ask, did you make any of the decorations yourself?
AWe painted the wall plates ourselves as well as the rocking chair.
QI think that you made a wise choice in varying the colors of the nursery furniture and I see many other examples savvy color selection in the baby's Dr. Seuss nursery, for example the bright yellow wall paint color and bright red curtain panels. And where did you find the adorable blue cloud and polka dot wall decals? Did they come as a set or did you buy them separately?
AI bought the white wallpaper border, the cloud shaped decals and individual red polka dots from various vendors that I found on Amazon.com. They all came together very nicely, but were not a set. Very few, if any of our baby boy's Seuss nursery decor came as a set.
QThe red and white crib set contrasts very nicely with the blue gray color of the crib, where did you find it?
AThe red and white baby bedding came from Babies R Us and the hamper and crib mobile are Trend Lab.
Thanks so much, Sheryl, for sharing your photos and demonstrating to us how it's possible to create a unique, one-of-a-kind room using commercially available furniture, bedding and wall decorations. Bryson's room is so colorful that it's one of the cutest Seuss themed nurseries on
