There are many crafts and DIY projects to love in Caroline Claire's blue gray nursery with a pink ceiling beyond the pleasing color combinations.

A timeless blue-gray nursery paired with a soft pink ceiling creates a gentle, classic look that still feels fresh and updated for modern nursery design.

As we see in the pictures, Mom's dedication to finding the perfect crib set that would, in turn, determine the nursery color scheme resulted in a baby girl nursery design that is as lovely as it is feminine.

The soft blue paint color of the walls might say "baby boy" to some.

However, the crib skirt with its ruffles and the pink ceiling color are all girl.

The baby girl's nursery furniture that was passed to Caroline Claire from her older brother underwent a total transformation in personality. Where the furnishings were once part of a baby boy's nursery with a sailboat theme; they are now surrounded with decorations that give them a whole new look.

The nursery glider was a new addition and mom explored her crafty side to fill wooden embroidery hoops with fabric that would complement the baby's bedding.

The prints decorating the area behind the crib were found in and Etsy store and then framed in wide, white frames.

The custom, floor length curtain panels were ordered from Calico Corners with both the present and future in mind. The plaid pattern of the fabric complements the baby bedding beautifully and will be just as appropriate for a big girl room making them a cost effective as well as an aesthetically pleasing choice in window treatments.

Repurposed wall hooks are hung with pink satin ribbons within easy reach of the changing table.

Having everything needed to clothe and care for baby near the changing area is essential for a busy mother.

Caroline Claire's elegant monogram was ordered shortly after she was born. The font, like her blue gray nursery that Mom, Meagan took such pains to decorate could not be prettier.

Pink and blue
by: Isla

I'm thinking of going with a pink and blue color scheme with our daughter's nursery. If our second child is a boy I will just paint over the pink with white.
