The colors in my baby girl's bird themed nursery are baby blue and orange. Way before I started decorating the nursery I knew those colors were what I wanted.


I initially worried about some of the decisions that I had to make but after all is said and done; I've always been very happy with how my baby girl's nursery turned out.

To start, I found a set of blue, white and orange bird baby bedding that had those colors and things just took off from there. The most visible splash of bright, orange in the room is found in the custom roman shades that we decorated with pom pom fringe for fun.

Although most of the decorations in the baby's bird themed nursery are blue and orange, I also picked up some of the green color from the crib bumper as well.

The wall shelves give us a place where we can display cute decorations and give the wall painting a 3D look that is more interesting and eye-catching than it might have been otherwise.

Tree Wall Mural Stickers


The fabric of the bumper pad has birds on it so I decided to decorate the nursery walls by painting a tree wall mural with birds with shelves tucked into its branches. Using decals might have been easier but I prefer the original painting.

I saw a bird theme in a restaurant recently and think that I would like one for my baby's room. She will be born this spring and I am looking for a crib set (or fabric to make my own) with robins on it.

I've been wanting to do a baby blue, orange, and purple colored nursery and found a few cute owl decals I could use- this just feeds my imagination as to what else I can do!! I adore the tree, I'm so stealing your idea!! THANK YOU and it looks great!!
