Kid friendly versions of the best sci-fi known to mankind (or alienkind for that matter)!
Liam's Map of the Solar System
Baby Liam's outer space theme nursery is based on the great beyond, the final frontier because my wife and I are big fans of Sci-Fi. In fact, we might never have met, dated and married if it weren't for Joss Whedon's "Firefly"
When we heard that our baby boy, Little Liam, was on his way, we decided to make our son just as nerdy as we are.
So, space, the final frontier will be Liam's First Frontier.

Let the Decorating BeginThe first thing that I did was to build a new door and casement to the nursery based upon the T.A.R.D.I.S. from the British TV Show, "Doctor Who" which is bigger on the inside of the room than on the outside.
Outer Space Nursery DécorGlow-in-Dark signs included. Next, I painted a red band around the baby's room and added a hammered silver trim above and below it as well as a matching baseboard and closet casement.
Above the red band there is a sweeping arrangement of wall decals featuring stars, planets, space ships and aliens.
On the opposite wall, we framed several kid version vignettes of our favorite space themed TV shows including the aforementioned "Firefly" that has special meaning to us and "Doctor Who" as well as "Battlestar Galactica" and of course "Star Trek, The Original Series".
Outer space Nursery Wall StickersAbove Liam's crib you see a rocket ship nursery wall decal with the visage of Liam shooting for the stars.
Crib BeddingOuter space bedding for the crib includes two pillow shams sewn together to make the perfectly sized out-of-this-world rocket quilt.
To top it all off, I painted an old brass pendant chandelier with metallic silver paint and transformed it into Liam's map of the solar system and if Little Liam ever gets lost in his dreams of space the stained glass map will always show him the way to go home.
