Baby Boy's Dr Seuss Nursery with Trend Lab Crib Bedding Set and Wall Art Painted by Dad
My baby boy's Dr Seuss nursery was inspired by my own fond memories from my childhood. I felt so "grownup" when I would go to the library and checkout books and my favorites were Dr. Seuss books. Every kid loves to read Dr. Seuss and I look forward to sharing my favorite stories with my children.
When we learned that we were expecting, I knew that I wanted a recognizable Seuss theme for my baby but one that I didn't feel was too common or overused.
I also didn't want to go too baby-ish, with the decor hoping that the design will stick with our son for 5 years or so.
Go here to see more The Dr Seuss baby bedding, window valance, crib mobile and lamp shade are all made by Trend Lab and were purchased on Amazon. The Cat in the Hat baby quilt on the rocking chair was homemade by my aunt.
The nursery walls are painted green, which makes all the artwork really stand out. My husband, who is an artist, painted all of the Dr. Seuss artwork himself using acrylic paint in custom colors that he mixed himself. He went to great lengths to get them as close to authentic "Seuss" colors as possible.
The baby's crib, dresser and changing table were purchased at Target and his tall dresser and rocker/ottoman were purchased at Walmart.
We couldn't be happier with how our baby boy's Dr Seuss nursery turned out. I hope that our boy loves and enjoys it for many years!
