A Whale of a Whale Baby Nursery Theme
by Jan
We have a whale of a whale baby nursery theme in navy blue to share with our visitors today courtesy of Kerra Michele Interiors. This baby boy's room is cute, modern and has many wonderful (budget friendly) features that new parents decorating a nursery for a boy will want to see.
The DC Metro transitional nursery captures the atmosphere of a holiday in Cape Cod.
The crisp contrasts of the deep navy blue and white wall paint color and modern white baby crib is softened by the soft gray upholstery of the Sparrow Glider by Gus Modern and the dreamy ocean themed artwork on the nursery walls.
There is no mention of the actual paint brand or name used for this project but we suggest that you take a look at Benjamin Moore's Deep Royal 2061-10.
A decorative whale throw pillow adds whimsy as well as back support while holding and snuggling with baby.
This pillow was made using fabric with a navy blue striped pattern reflecting the wall paint color. You can make your own whale pillow using fabric that complements your nursery.
The metallic lamps and the bubble branch chandelier offer the options of overhead or less direct lighting. The lamps arranged on opposite ends of the white bookcase have a gold metallic bases while the ceiling fixture features a silver finish with gold fittings.
Nursery Rug
A white nursery rug may not be the most practical of choices for a boisterous baby boy's nursery but who could argue that this fluffy white area rug doesn't look amazing?
I hope that
