I am now 28 weeks pregnant and counting! I am very pleased to be sharing my 28 weeks pregnancy portraits from my recent maternity shoot. We are very happy and excited to welcome Baby No. 4, Princess Ella Claire, to our family.

28 Weeks Pregnant - What to Expect

At 28 weeks I am now at the third trimester of my pregnancy. Chances are even the most lucky of us who haven't had to go shopping for maternity clothes feel the pinch by this stage.

How to Look Amazing in Your Maternity Picture

The Fetus at 28 Weeks - Your Precious Baby's Development So Far

At 28 weeks, my baby girl is making ready for her grand entrance into the world and moving toward the birth canal, bags packed and ready to go figuratively speaking of course.

Fetal Development at 28 Weeks
Our baby's eyes are now partially open and can blink! Imagine if we only had the means, we could look into this baby girl's precious eyes right now! Yes, if we had such a magic window we could actually see the color of those precious eyes although the color would probably not be her permanent color. Any eye color that we might spy would temporary especially if they appeared to be a shade of light blue or gray-ish in color. As we know, an infant's eyes don't reflect a definite color until months after birth. When the grandmothers are having the inevitable argument over the bassinet over whose eyes she has, you can soothe those troubled waters (at least temporarily) by telling them both that Ella's eye color will be changing in a few months.

How Much Does Ella Claire Weigh at 28 Weeks

Our baby girl's weight is picking up right about now and she's growing in length, too! Princess Ella is about 15 inches long right about now and she is weighing in at about 2 to 3 pounds.

Let's Celebrate

At this time in the pregnancy, it's party time! Bar hopping probably doesn't sound appealing at this stage of the game but doesn't the idea of a spa baby shower where all that's required of a pregger chick is to recline (as gracefully as your belly will allow) while enjoying a mani-pedi? Your only contribution to the celebration will be to provide a list of addresses for the baby shower invitations and to show up to be pampered. And what better time to lounge in the lap of luxury than when you're 28 weeks pregnant and counting?
