Best New Girls Ballerina Bedding and Nursery Decor

I was recently asked to help choose some ballerina bedding,nursery decorations and to come up with some creative decorating ideas that put the spotlight on some vintage ballet slippers and tutus for a baby girl's ballerina nursery.
This special baby descended from a long line of accomplished ballerinas who wanted a stylish nursery with decorations associated with this elegant dance. I had just finished a hip hop style room so I had to do a complete flip flop and switch gears from painting graffiti on the walls to decorating with tulle fabric, ballet slippers and tiaras.

My initial response was a crib skirt made to resemble a tutu and window treatments that were "lighter than air". When I saw the framed pictures of the mother and grandmother that were to be included in the wall decorations, sensible, machine washable cotton fabrics just didn't seem best for a ballerina nursery theme.

I would suggest that you use a set of ballerina bedding that is constructed of polyester fabric or perhaps a custom crib quilt with motifs associated with ballet appliquéd on alternating quilt squares. The slipper appliqués could be made of fabric that resembles satin that can be washed. If you only use the crib comforter to decorate the crib for company, you can get the real article with fancy ribbons and embellishments, but if your ballet baby bedding set will be used everyday pay close attention to fabric content.

BALLERINA BEDDING FABRIC PATTERNS
Pretty pink ballerina bedding sets with lace, ruffles and lots of girly details might have fabrics printed with ballerina slippers, as well as pictures of baby ballerina dancers on their toes. Mix and match other fabrics prints with your dance motifs for the best decorative effect. Polka dots, stripes as well as royal crests in gold metallic will just add to the overall décor while lending an elegant air to the space.
